“And now, for my next trick…”

“Brian,” Angelica groaned, “You are supposed to be working.  Not playing.”

“I can do this!” Brian said, handing her the handcuffs.  A small crowd of customers gathered around them in a small circle.  “My assistant will now place the handcuffs on my wrists.”

“I will not.”

“Do it Angelica!  People are watching!”

Angelica sighed, “Fine!”  She swiped the cuffs out of his hands.  Brian turned around and placed his hands behind his back.  Angelica slipped the handcuffs on his wrists and locked them with a click.

Brian turned around to the crowd. “And now…”

“Excuse me, sir, are you a pizza delivery person.” Officer Mulligan asked of the man standing near his car.

“Yeah.” The man said gruffly.  “What’s it to you?”

Officer Mulligan was taken aback.  He looked at his partner, unable to speak.

Officer Fitzroy cleared his throat, “We were just wondering if, perhaps you could inform us of the specific reasons for your being in this area at this present time.”

The pizza man cocked and eyebrow, “I’m delivering pizzas.  What the heck does it look like I’m doing?  Picking my nose?”

The two officers looked at each other in shock.

Flour

So this was it.  This is what happens when you piss off a bunch of bakers.  Amanda had not meant to do it.  She had merely said that the croissants were a little dry, that’s all.  They were delicious.  Extremely, so.  But they were a little dry.

The bakers had begun yelling at her.  Screaming about her ‘common palate.’  Saying she wouldn’t know fine food if it had been delivered to her from God.  She’d left the bakery in tears.

That was a week ago.  She was relieved when, two nights ago, the phone calls had stopped.

But now this.

1800 block of Sequoia Avenue, 11:24 a.m. July 3 A resident who found flour on her doorstep was provided with conflict resolution information.

Make It Stop

Day 365

It started at 5:30am this morning.  A bit earlier than it has the past few days.  Today he’s using the side of his fist, a nice departure from him using his knuckles.  Perhaps they are sore from 6 days in a row.  Good.  He deserves a little pain for the pain he’s put me through.

I had thought I’d grown used to it now that is has been a year, but I do believe, today, I have reached my wits end.  Today I may have to do something about it.  I may have to make a call.

1000 block of El Camino Real, 3:10 p.m. Wednesday Police advised a resident who said a neighbor “has been pounding on his door for almost a year” to contact the apartment manager.
